penny pinching in haute couture

I know this isn't a new thing and he is a good photographer but Karl Lagerfeld is stealing work from plenty of high end malnurished fashion shooters by photographing Lily Allen for the new Chanel campaign. I mean c'mon, not only are you designing the clothes but you need to do the shoot as well? Where does he find the time? I'm pretty sure this guy lives in 3 different countries at once and does some of the experiments on the space station (leather spacesuits with dangly bits on them in a vaccuum). I've also heard he speaks five different languages fluently, I'm guessing all at the same time.
Stop stealing jobs! Do you clean the studio at night after the shoot as well? This also makes me wonder if he has to invoice himself, I bet he complains about his day rate since he's probably Chanel's accountant also.

Harper and the Arts

Stephanie: So some of our friends have a soft spot for Stephen Harper.
Aaron: What? Why?
Stephanie: Because he plays the piano.
Aaron; Who gives a shit, even Hitler painted.
Richard Avedon said to Bob Richardson once "David Bailey is a Penn with no ink". So the progression of stealing is: Irving Penn > David Bailey > Rankin. Pretty fucking awesome if you ask me.
Oh yeah, Bob's response was "Steven Meisel is an Avedon with no dick".

77%

77 as a number had always had a warm place in my heart, it was the year associated with the breakout of punk rock, spirit of 77, fuck yeah!

Now it has a new meaning ( at least for today), Steady Eddie Stelmach's leadership vote percentage, seriously!?!? I figured Alberta Conservatives were more fickle then that to let this guy carry on. It's him and his caucus that make Ralph Klein look good, they make people want to join the Wildrose Alliance (an even more conservative Albertan? dear lord...)

This is Pedersen furious.

Pablo Picasso said it first, "bad artists copy, great artists steal" and Malcolm Mclaren clarified "Amateurs borrow, Professionals Steal". Nuff said.
